The mission of the Buford congregation of the Lord's church is to carry on the mission given to the church you read about in the New Testament.
Buford Church of Christ confirms it’s commitment to follow the principles of the first century church Jesus built. We speak where the Bible speaks and remain silent where the Bible is silent. We hold that in matters of faith, unity; in matters of opinion, liberty; in all things love. The church of the New Testament is the kingdom of God waiting to be presented at the judgment as the pure bride of Christ. We assemble on the first day of the week for Bible study, worship, and fellowship as was done by the first century church. It is our firm desire to simply be Bible Christians; nothing more and nothing less. Core Beliefs: Jehovah God is Sovereign, the creator of the Universe, and it is our duty to love Him as our Father with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. Jesus is the Christ, the son of God, who died on the cross for the remission of our sins and is seated at the right hand of God in Heaven The Holy Spirit is one in the trinity with God the Father and Jesus the Christ; He is given as a gift after baptism, He is our assurance of eternal life. The gospel is the good news concerning the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, there is salvation in no other. Salvation is received through individual obedience to the gospel call by believing that Jesus is God’s only son, repenting of sins, confessing that Jesus is the Christ, being baptized by immersion in water for the forgiveness of sins and then pursuing a faithful life with Jesus as Lord. The Bible is the inspired word of God and is the sole authority given for reproof, for correction and for training in righteousness that the man of God may be adequately equipped for every good work.

What that means is faith-centered relationships are critical to faith development. Maybe that is why relationships played such a vital part in Paul’s ministry. In this article, we will highlight some of the unique relationships Paul developed and hold him up as an example of the type of spiritual relationships we should pursue.

Our Scotland Mission update... Enjoyed and were edified during our Weekday Morning men’s and ladies sessions that focused on teaching methods for biblical studies. Each that attended from 4 area congregations studied the Bible together and went home with lessons and ideas they could use for adult studies. Then Sunday thru Wednesday night Perth’s Youth Club was extended and Jesus’ parables were the focus. Continue to pray for our team and especially as they prepare to host a “Seek Out Souls University” Workshop on Saturday! God is good!
Sunday worship with our brothers and sisters at the Perth church of Christ in Scotland! Then a Fellowship lunch at the Carvery! What a blessing to be in the church and have family worldwide because of Christ!
Please pray for 3 of our team headed to Scotland to work with the Perth congregation! We appreciate their efforts in preparing and willingness to serve. To God be the glory!
What if the only copy of God’s Word you could get your hands on was in a completely different language you did not understand? Have you ever even given time to think about it? Consider this . . .
The office staff welcomed our BYG Summer Interns, Isaac and Amelia today! May God continue to bless our efforts!
Today we installed 6 men that the congregation felt met the qualifications of a Deacon, as found in 1 Timothy 3:8-13. We appreciate their willingness to serve along with our 31 current Deacons. May God continue to bless our leadership at Buford!
What makes you valuable? Sometimes the world treats you as if you are worthless, unimportant, or useless. Sometimes you are walked on, talked about, embarrassed, scorned, and rejected. However, no matter what value the world assigns to you, you are valuable to God, and here is why.

Whoever your mother figure is today, whether it be your actual mother or not, let us reflect on their impact on our lives. Consider these thoughts...
On Sunday, 5/5, we honored our HS Seniors of 2019. It is always a special day. Our elders specifically led a prayer for each of them. The congregation also prayed for them! We are so proud of and love each of you!
Rejection is no stranger to any of us; we all have experienced it. Regardless of how much talent, pizazz, wit, good looks, or brains one might have…everyone experiences rejection in life. Let us take a look at what God's Word says about rejection, and how we can find the, "Glory in Rejection."
Congratulations to our HS Senior Class of 2019! They were honored tonight by our elders, ministers and their wives! Each graduate and their family mean so much to us! May God continue to bless you beyond measure in your next phase of life! Always remember your Buford family is here for you!
In Acts 4:36 we are introduced to a guy named Joseph who is better known for his nickname Barnabas which means “Son of Encouragement.” How did he get this nickname and what can we learn from him about encouragement?
What challenges do you face today? What Goliaths are in your life at the moment? Most importantly, how will you respond to these?
We are so proud of our youth that work to develop their talents in our Buford Leadership Training program! The congregations support was shown to our youth at the Leaderette Tea, Lad’s Celebration and then we all worshiped tonight led by our Christian young men! May God continue to bless you as you grow in serving Him.
Are we not guilty of Forgetting Nemo? No not Nemo the movie character, not the cute little clownfish with a banged-up fin, not that Nemo…are we guilty of forgetting the lost people all around us?
We rejoice with the angels in heaven as Gabriel made the decision to put on his Lord in baptism tonight!
